Alter Ego was tasked with creating a full CG vegetable garden with time lapse growing vegetables ending on a live action table. With an incredibly quick turnaround of only 6 weeks Alter Ego handled all aspects from storyboarding, pre-production, production, edit, CG, vfx and colour. Creatively partnering with Taxi early on in the process allowed for a complete cohesive back and forth process.

We had many firsts on this job, new render farm, new pipeline (with Mantra light breakouts), used pgBokeh for the first time, used deep compositing for the first time. Assets built in Maya, assembled in Houdini and rendered in Mantra. All DOF was in Nuke with pgBokeh, first pass grade in Nuke and final grade in Baselight. Final finishing in Flame.
